KING ARTHUR’S BODY
written by Mountaine Jonas
This play, a new queer retelling of the Arthurian Legend, debuted to sold out performances at the Asheville Fringe Arts Festival in March 2024, and was later independently produced in September 2024.
The production will be featured in Scotland’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival at Greenside Venue Riddle’s Court in August 2025.
“I wrote this play to surprise audiences into thinking about life in a way that's as raucously silly as Monty Python, but also deeply serious about how to make our lives more tuned to the magick all around us," says Mountaine Jonas, the playwright, who also acts as our modern Merlin.

THE ELM TREE
written by Dori A. Robinson
co-directed by Damon Krometis & Dori A. Robinson with additional material by Betsy S. Goldman & Joshua Platt
Our inaugural production was presented in response to the political climate that threatened the equality of our non-cisgendered, gender queer, and questioning young people, to address these concerns through the retelling of the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. Through an immersive style, the play sought to familiarize its audiences with the experience of those who identify as gender queer and to open hearts and minds to a world that is safe and open to them.
A CHRISTMAS CAROL
Co-written and directed by Courtney Bottomley & Jonathan Zautner
In this premiere, fully realized production created for all ages, Alight Theater Guild adapted Charles Dickens’ holiday classic to be enjoyed at home. Filmed entirely remotely by utilizing green screen technology and observing strict safety protocols, this version of the timeless tale was created to bring us all together in a unique time of social distance.
